HER flings with rock ’n’ roll royalty earned her the ­status of Queen of the Groupies – with Mick Jagger and Jimmy Web page amongst her conquests.

However for Pamela Des Barres the groupie life-style wasn’t nearly bedding band members — it was a celebration of music tradition in Hollywood and feminine empowerment.

Often known as Miss Pamela, she was a central determine within the Sixties Sundown Strip music scene, embracing its spirit of cultural revolution and the new-found sexual freedom within the period of accessible contraception.

Pamela started hanging out at LA’s notorious Sundown Strip, a 1.7-mile stretch that turned a cultural paradise for music followers.

However she turned a part of his “wild” friendship group, and in 1966 bagged an invitation to the memorial of comic Lenny Bruce after his loss of life aged 40 from a morphine overdose.

Pamela wasn’t within the advances of Frank — who died in 1993 aged 52 — by loyalty to Gail, who she “liked”.

By day, Pamela and Christine would hearken to information on the Zappas’ residence whereas watching Moon Unit — who’s now an actress of 57. By night time, they cruised the Strip.

She and Christine befriended numerous different free-spirited feminine dancers, forming a crew generally known as the Laurel Canyon Ballet Firm.

Frank briefly dropped the GTOs after some members — not Pamela — have been caught up in a medicine bust. ­

Throughout the hiatus, Pamela romanced Chris Hillman of The Byrds and nation star Waylon Jennings.

Frank later re-signed the GTOs and in November 1969 they put out an album, Everlasting Injury.

It made little impression, and Pamela returned to the Strip and commenced ­courting The Who’s Keith Moon.

Because the Sixties ebbed into the ­Seventies she started appearing, showing within the cleaning soap opera Search For Tomorrow.

In 1978, she married musician Michael Des Barres, and had a son. They separated in 1991.

Her web site states: “Like every true soulmates, they continue to be beloved associates and confidantes to today.”

These days, Pamela is a profitable author and offers talks sharing her “outrageous first-hand experiences” as the unique rock groupie.

In keeping with Dylan Tupper Rupert, Pamela’s residence in Los Angeles is a “human-scale memorabilia chest” ­embellished with “footage detailing her personal rock and roll legend.”
